The Land Office Disaster Recovery History of the Texas General Land Office The Commissioner Agency Administration Boards and CommissionsEstablished in 1929 by the 41st Legislature, the Board for Lease of University Lands (Board) is responsible for the leasing of Permanent University Fund (PUF) lands for oil and gas exploration and development. The mission of the Board is to maximize the revenue from PUF lands by applying intensive management, accounting, conservation, and environmental programs which improve and sustain the productivity of PUF lands.
The Board is composed of four members. The Commissioner of the Texas General Land Office serves as Chairman of the Board during his/her term in office. Two members of the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System and one member of the Board of Regents of the Texas A&M University System serve two-year terms.
Board meetings are held in Midland, Texas. Board meetings are held twice a year and are open to the public. Meetings are generally held in May and November, and are in conjunction with scheduled lease sales.
Board meeting agendas are posted in the Texas Register and can be accessed via the Texas Secretary of State website. Agenda must be posted seven working days prior to a Board meeting.

Biography
James Dannenbaum
James Dannenbaum, P.E., was appointed to a six-year term on the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System by Governor Rick Perry in November 2007. He was appointed to the Board for Lease at that time. On October 28, 2009, Mr. Dannenbaum was elected the Vice-Chairman of the Board for Lease of University Lands. His term will expire in February 2013. Mr. Dannenbaum, Chairman of Dannenbaum Engineering Corporation, is a member of numerous professional associations including the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. In addition to the Board for Lease of University Lands, Mr. Dannenbaum serves as chairman of the Student, Faculty, and Staff Campus Life Committee and serves on the Facilities Planning and Construction Committee as well as the Health Affairs Committee. |

James (Jim) Wilson
James (Jim) Wilson was appointed to a six-year term on the Board of Regents of the Texas A&M University System by Governor Rick Perry in November 2007. In June 2009, Mr. Wilson was elected to serve on the Board for Lease. His term will expire in February 2013. Mr. Wilson is a Managing Director of Rock Hill Capital Group, a Houston-based private equity firm. He serves as Chairmen of the Committee on Audit and as a member of the Buildings and Physical Plant Committee and the Policy Review Committee as well. |

Printice Gary
Printice Gary was appointed to a six-year term on the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System by Governor Rick Perry in November 2007. He was appointed to the Board for Lease at that time. His term will expire in February 2013. Mr. Gary founded Carleton Residential Properties in 1991 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner. Mr. Gary serves as chairman the Facilities Planning and Construction Committee and as a member of the Finance and Planning Committee, as well as the Student, Faculty, and Staff Campus Life Committee. |
