GLO works with communities and local leaders to determine long-term projects to help communities recover from disaster and mitigate future damage through preventative planning.

As Texans continue to experience a major disaster declaration nearly every year, the role GLO-CDR plays in recovery will continue to be vital.

2015 Texas Floods and Storms CDBG-DR Allocation

There are 116 Texas counties eligible for recovery funding as a result of receiving a Presidential disaster declaration in 2015. Eligible communities are encouraged to submit applications for long-term housing and infrastructure recovery projects. GLO-CDR will accept project applications for 120 days following the release date of July 13, 2017, and will work with impacted counties to maximize the number of long-term recovery projects that can be completed given the limited funding.
