The Land Office conducts a host of educational programs for young and old alike. These programs include classroom participation and lectures, hands-on workshops and other events targeted at raising awareness about the coast.
Taking it to the streets
The Texas General Land Office Mobile Information Unit is used along the coast to provide direct, hands-on assistance to coastal residents on permitting and other issues. The trailer is also used to provide recovery assistance after major hurricanes. Learn More

The Texas coastal region and wetland habitats are biologically diverse ecosystems home to various plants, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
