The Texas General Land Office State Power Program helps public customers save on their electricity bills by buying their electricity from the Land Office.  Revenue earned by the program flows directly to the Texas Permanent School Fund, which helps pay for Texas public education. The State Power Program provides electricity to its customers through third-party retail electric providers.

IMPORTANT: State Power Program customers' meters must be on the ERCOT grid and not be in a municipally-owned or a non-competitive cooperatively-owned utility to be eligible to be a customer. Call to confirm.
