Success of Homeowner Assistance Program means time and funding running out - apply soon

Today the Texas General Land Office's (GLO) announced the Homeowner Assistance Program's (HAP) successful efforts to rebuild homes is bringing the application process to a quick conclusion. All potential applicants must submit completed applications by December 31, 2019, to be considered for eligibility pending funding availability. Thus far the GLO has approved more than 1,700 applications for construction, with 640 homes currently under construction and 286 completed with keys in the hands of homeowners. Read More

CMR BUSH ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF ARANSAS COUNTY VESSEL TURN-IN PROGRAM EVENT

Today, Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush announced the results of the Vessel Turn-In program offered recently in Aransas County, Texas.The total number of vessels turned in from Aransas County, Texas tallied 31 vessels and 12 boat trailers bringing a total of 130 gallons of fuel/oil collected. The fuel/oil was properly disposed. To date, the General Land Office has collected 742 vessels, 1236 gallons of fuel/oil waste, and 73 boat trailers coastwide since the program’s inception.
