Last weekend, Veterans Land Board Chairman George P. Bush was joined by Veterans from all over the nation to honor Medal of Honor recipient, Lance Corporal Richard Anderson. 50 years ago to the very day, “Tex,” as Anderson is endearingly called by friends and family, was killed from the impact of a grenade he covered to save the lives of fellow Marines in the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion in Vietnam. Born on March 14, 1954, Mr. Boone served in the United States Navy from September 22, 1972 to November 21, 1973. Mr. Boone served as an Aviation Machinist's Mate (Jet Engine Mechanic). He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.Mr. Boone is not expected to have anyone attend his burial.

PFC Carroll trained as an Airborne Parachutist at Airborne School in Ft. Benning, GA.

Bush released the following statement announcing the Tarrant County Commissioner’s Court unanimous vote to approve the donation 12 acres of property for the creation of the Texas Veterans Land Board’s 10th Veteran’s Home. “Caring for our Veterans is not merely an option, but our duty as patriots,” said Chairman George P. Bush. “We are extremely grateful to Tarrant County for their generous donation of 12 acres of property to aid the VLB in expanding services for Texas Veterans.

Born in January of 1937, Mr. Klingbeil served in the United States Army from January 13, 1958 to July 10, 1958. Mr. Klingbeil is not expected to have anyone attend his burial.
