Mad Island project will build approximately 3,010 linear feet of rock breakwater would be constructed to protect approximately 197 acres of existing marsh and upland habitat that may be potentially lost under the current erosion rate without the project and potentially restore approximately 3.8 acres of intertidal wetlands
