In an effort to expand upon more than 20 years of habitat restoration efforts in West Galveston Bay, the Galveston Bay Foundation (GBF) will implement a project to protect, enhance, and restore up 145 acres of estuarine habitat in West Galveston Bay. This phase, Phase I, will involve securing an advisory team of local, state, and federal partners, conducting necessary site assessments/surveys, and hiring an engineering firm to produce a 30-50% design. Upon completion of the engineering and design phase, GBF will secure all necessary permits prior to construction.
