Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D., announced today the completion of the Indianola Harvey Repair Project to address damage caused, in part, by Hurricane Harvey. Erosion, caused by both tropical storms and consistent wind-borne erosional regression over time, is a big crucial issue in this area. Hurricane Harvey was particularly destructive impactful and resulted in a net loss of 3,411 cubic yards of sand from the various beach cells of this multi-cell erosion response project originally constructed in 2003.
