Dellanera Beach Nourishment Hurricane Harvey FEMA Construction Project

Project Description

The project will complete beach nourishment to remediate damage from Hurricane Harvey along 1,084 linear feet of shoreline at Dellanera Beach. The project includes two integrated elements: the construction of an offshore breakwater system funded through a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Project under Hurricane Harvey disaster DR-4332 (pending authorization), and the placement of approximately 60,000 cubic yards of beach-quality sand through CEPRA, as proposed. The nourishment effort will address approximately 2,100 linear feet of shoreline, enhancing the storm damage reduction capacity of the shoreline and mitigating long-term erosion impacts.
