AUSTIN, Texas— Today, Texas Land Commissioner and Veterans Land Board (VLB) Chairwoman Dawn Buckingham, M.D., is celebrating the success of the Big Country Veterans Expo held this past weekend in Abilene. The VLB was proud to host this event alongside representatives with the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC).
"As Chairwoman of the VLB, answering Veterans’ questions about the many benefits they have earned through their selfless service is one of the fundamental things we do at the Texas General Land Office (GLO) and VLB," said Commissioner Dawn Buckingham. "I want to thank the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) for their partnership this year, as well as the VLB's hardworking outreach team who helped make the event a resounding success. We will continue to provide our country's heroes, who have given us so much, the vital information they need to get the most out of the best Veterans benefits package in the nation."
