Sergeant William Brown served in the Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945. He worked as a gunner during the war and recalls seeing the mushroom cloud from the Hiroshima A-bomb while flying on a conventional bombing mission in a B-29. Sgt. Brown was awarded the American Theater Medal and the Air Medal for his service to our country.
