Free Vessel-Turn-In Event to Dispose of Inoperable Boats
November 12-14, 2026, from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Harris County Precinct 2, in cooperation with the General Land Office and Texas Parks and Wildlife, is offering Harris County residents (residency requirements apply) a free way to dispose of inoperable boats less than 26 feet long.
- Boats must be brought to the dropoff site at 5002 E. NASA Parkway, Seabrook, TX 77856, free of trash and debris.
- Proof of ownership required.
- GLO will remove oil, fuel & batteries.
- Texas Parks and Wildlife will verify ownership.
- Harris County will handle final disposal.
