AUSTIN, Texas — Today, Texas Land Commissioner and Veterans Land Board (VLB) Chairwoman Dawn Buckingham, M.D., is encouraging all Texans to honor our military heroes who have sacrificed everything in the name of freedom this Memorial Day at one of our Texas State Veterans Cemeteries.
In honor of Memorial Day, headstones of servicemembers Killed or Missing in Action will be illuminated at the four Texas State Veterans Cemeteries in Killeen, Abilene, Mission and Corpus Christi, Texas. The grounds will be open 24hrs a day for night viewing through May 26.
