Aransas Pass Community Park and Nature Area Kayak Trail Facilities

Project Description

The City of Aransas Pass added kayak trail facilities at the Aransas Pass Nature Area. Facilities included a kayak launch site, kayak park access road, a fifteen car parking lot, and a nature lookout to view Redfish Bay and surrounding wetlands. In order for all parking areas within the Community Park and Nature Area to be consistent, the fifteen car parking area was constructed of asphalt with a cement stabilized base and to avoid wetlands the parking area was placed in an upland area.
