Swan Point Shoreline Protection and Marsh Restoration Construction Project

Project Description

This project is a continuation of CEPRA cycle 12 and 13 project 1716 to use dredge material to build a marsh complex and construct a protective breakwater. The project will create up to seven (7) acres of marsh habitat with 1,100 linear feet of stone and artificial reef breakwaters for protection. The reconstructed marsh peninsula will provide protection to park infrastructure, reduce sedimentation in the boat ramp channel, and provide beneficial use opportunities for future dredged material through maintenance of the channel. Sediment for the project will be dredged from the nearby boat launch access channel, which is managed by the County.
