Texas Stream Team Coastal Bacteria Water Quality Monitoring Initiative

Project Description

The Texas Stream Team (TST) is expanding its community science bacterial water quality monitoring in impaired Gulf Coast watersheds by integrating IDEXX and R-Card bacterial monitoring methods into its certified community-led monitoring in impaired coastal watersheds. Over two years, the project will certify trainers and community scientists, expand monitoring into high-priority areas, fill in professional monitoring gaps, and conduct research and development of the R-CARD and IDEXX community science methodologies to be shared with state and regional partners.
