AUSTIN, Texas— Today, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D., invites families and Texans across the state to the Texas General Land Office's (GLO) 2026 Coastal Roundup in Galveston, Texas, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Texas Coastal Roundup will take place at East Beach, also known as R.A. Apffel Park, in Galveston, and is a free, family-friendly event that will showcase the work the GLO, area organizations, and other state and federal agencies do to protect the Texas coast. Attendees will get to interact with ocean critters, see interactive exhibits and demonstrations, and pick up tons of free educational swag. There will also be a kid zone, door prize drawings, face painters, and food trucks. Free and paid parking is available onsite.
