Mr. Baring, a native Texan, was drafted into the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He served as a B-24 gunner and flew 38 missions in Europe. Mr. Baring now resides at the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in Floresville, Texas.
