Edward Kotrla, a resident of Taylor, Texas, served in the Army's Air Transport Command during WWII. Stationed in India, he took part in numerous over "the hump" between India and China as a crew chief and flight engineer. He left the Army as a Sergeant in November 1945 after having enlisted in April 1942.
