A Veteran or Military Member or a non-veteran whose bid is accepted may apply for a VLB Land Loan:
- Veteran Interest rate: 7.25% and a 30-year term;
- Non-Veteran Interest rate: 8.25% and a 30-year term;
- The VLB will finance up to 95% of the minimum bid or $200,000, whichever is less. Any amount offered over minimum bid or more than $200,000, must be paid at closing by the awardee.
- Minimum 5% down payment.
- The maximum loan amount is $200,000. If two eligible Veterans who are spouses want to buy the same land together, they can borrow up to $275,000.
- Some land tracts (called FLS tracts) can be removed from the sale at any time by the Veterans Land Board. This means not all land will always be available.
